Is there a way that I can add an outstanding balance on a customer’s current invoice?
Yes, it needs to be setup in Customize area.

1. Click + Customers Invoice to open a new invoice or open up an already saved invoice.
2. Click on the customize Gear icon at the top right corner.
3. Scroll down and click Customize what your customers see.
4. At the Customize form style window – from the left side panel click on Appearance.
5. Check Account summary box to the right of Show table area.
6. Click Save.
7. Name the new invoice style.
8. To view account summary you need to click on Print or Preview.
