A useful feature in QuickBooks desktop is the ability to save save comments on reports.
At the top of the Report Window you will see a Comment On Report button.
Click on the Comment On Report button to open the comment view.
At the end of each line of the report you will see a box to click in to add a comment about that line.
Move your mouse onto the box line of the report where you want to enter a comment. The box area will become green – click to open the comment area.
Add your comments and then click on the Save button.
At the left of the comment list are the edit or delete icons.
At the top of the report you find the following buttons:
Save: Click on Save to save your comments and name the report.
Print: You can print the report or save as a PDF.
Email: Attach report as a PDF to your email.
To See A Listing of All Your Commented Reports:
On the menu bar click on Reports.
From the drop down list click on Commented Reports.
