I’m a new user to QuickBooks and I notice that whenever I create a vendor credit and then go to Pay Bills, QuickBooks automatically applies the credit. This is very frustrating. Can I change this option?
Yes, in the Preferences
1. On the menu bar click on Edit, Preferences.
2. From list on left side, select Bills.
3. Click on the tab Company Preferences .
4. In the Paying Bills section, make sure there is no check mark by Automatically use credits.
5. Click OK.
